Our Mission: Catholic Charities is the primary social service agency of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, serving all,
regardless of religious affiliation, at their time of great need.

Remembering Dr. Gottfried

Dr Goddfried

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Pittsburgh, mourns the loss and tragic death of Dr. Richard Gottfried at Tree of Life Synagogue.

Dr. Gottfried was active in his community and will always be remembered for his volunteer service at Catholic Charities, Free Health Care Center, providing dental care for those who could not afford it for over 9 years, and nearly 900 hours.

Our prayers are for his wife, Dr. Peg Durachko, and family during this difficult time.

Season of Service

Take the "Season-of-Service Challenge"

Get your halo on today by helping us to provide services to assist those in need. Starting the week of October 15 through the end of the year, we invite you to take the "Season-of-Service Challenge" using one of the following opportunities:

Make a Donation
For every gift you make to Catholic Charities from October 15 to December 31, a halo will be placed on the window of our Welcome Center in downtown Pittsburgh. If you make your gift in memory of or in honor of someone, we will add their name to your halo.

Volunteer
Catholic Charities' volunteers earned their halos by giving of their time, talents, and energy to help us help those in need. The services they provide are invaluable. Last year, we were blessed to have had 500 such volunteers.

Connect on Social Media
Use Facebook and friend and/or follow us.

See your support in action through our "Humans of Catholic Charities" photography project. Take an inside look at postings of Catholic Charities' volunteers, staff and those we serve, and then share with others the good works that happen here every day.

Share with us how someone benefited from your kindness, through your words or action photos. Each week we will post a new service challenge for you to do this.

Help Feed Our Children

Please consider supporting hungry children who step through our doors by donating pre-packaged foor or drinks such as fruit cups, raisins, sandwich crackers or juice boxes.

Contact Brendan Avila at 412-456-6969 or bavila@ccpgh.org.

Hurricane Michael Relief
